Plan West partners inc

Planwest prepared a Community Action Plan for nine rural communities along the Avenue of the Giants in southern Humboldt County.  Planwest worked with the Humboldt County Planning Department to coordinate preparation of the Community Action Plan and to update the county Action Plan for the area.  Planwest coordinated with Humboldt Redwoods State Park and the Eel River Watershed Improvement Group.  Planwest conducted over thirty meetings with agencies, stakeholders, community groups and residents during the course of plan construction; community visioning sessions; identified action plan project teams; and facilitated plan review and adoption.  The Avenue of the Giants Community Action Plan was judged by the Northern Section of the California Chapter of the American Planning Association as the best implemented project for a small jurisdiction and received an award of merit from the California Chapter of the American Planning Association.
