In February 2017, we celebrated Planwest Partner’s 20-Year Anniversary. Our firm was established in 1997 when founder, George Williamson, took a leap of faith and moved to the north coast to complete the City of Arcata General Plan Update. Since then the company has grown to provide a full range of community, environmental, and economic planning services. Highlights have included working with business, nonprofits, local and tribal governments, and community stakeholders on numerous north coast projects. Over the years, we have had the privilege of teaming with many technical experts, organizations, and other consulting firms within our community.
In 2016 we expanded our ownership to include two new partners, Vanessa Blodgett and Colette Metz. George continues to serve as Principal Planner with Vanessa and Colette increasing their management responsibilities.
We thank our community partners and clients for great 20+ great years, and we look forward to continuing to work together for the ongoing prosperity on the north coast.
