Planwest Partners Celebrates 25 Years

In February 2022, we celebrated Planwest Partners’ 25-Year Anniversary. Our firm was established in 1997 when founder, George Williamson, took a leap of faith and moved to the north coast to complete the City of Arcata General Plan Update. Since then the company has grown to provide a full range of community, environmental, fire services, special district, and economic planning services.  Highlights have included working with businesses, nonprofits, local and tribal governments, and community stakeholders on numerous projects throughout the state. Over the years, we have had the privilege of teaming with many technical experts, organizations, and other consulting firms within our community.

In 2016 we expanded our ownership to include two new partners, Vanessa Blodgett and Colette Santsche. As of January 2021, Vanessa and Colette have full ownership of the company making Planwest Partners a women owned small business.  George continues to serve as a Senior Advisor and remains active with many of our long standing clients. 

We thank our community partners and clients for a great 25+ years, and we look forward to continuing our work together shaping healthy and prosperous communities throughout California.
