Planwest teamed with Julie Fulkerson in 2014-15 to facilitate a strategic planning process for the Arcata Economic Development Commission (AEDC). The strategic planning process employed various data collection and research methods including documentation review, one-on-one interviews, focus groups, online surveys, brainstorming and collaborative prioritization sessions. A day-long Board/Staff Retreat further clarified foundational principals and identified implementation actions that helped shape the final plan. The result is a comprehensive analysis of the past, present, and future of AEDC with steps for implementation that are aligned with AEDC’s stated mission.
