Krystle Heaney

Ms. Heaney is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and currently works as a Senior Planner for Planwest Partners, Inc. in Arcata, CA. She has over eight years of experience in environmental and general planning services including CEQA/ NEPA compliance, local and regional permitting for projects, general plan review and revision, and data collection and analysis. Currently, Ms. Heaney provides general planning services for the City of Ferndale including planning application review, responding to zoning and land use questions, and developing grant applications. She also provides support services for several LAFCo’s throughout California including Municipal Service Review preparation and application processing.

Born and raised in El Dorado County she is familiar with the different opportunities and difficulties agencies face when planning for the future in the Sierra Nevada region. Drought, wildfires, and fluctuating water resources are just a few of the major concerns the region faces on a regular basis. She is dedicated to protecting the abundant natural resources that can be found all throughout California and to providing sound planning to support happy and healthy communities.
